Dani Filth dishes on how he got into horror and how he actually made Tony …
“It’s been a long time coming – I’m coming back for you my friend.” These are the words that introduce Hunter’s Moon, Ghost’s first musical release in over two years—and the lyrics could not ring truer, nor sweeter for their legions of fans around the world.

Since their inception in 2006, Ghost have been masterful in their ability to captivate audiences with their unique brand of pop-infused heavy metal, embellished through confronting demonic imagery and dazzling live performances. With enigmatic front man Tobias Forge at the helm, the Grammy Award winning act have continued to pioneer and solidify their place at the forefront of mainstream heavy music, whilst simultaneously honing their aptitude for the theatrical.
It therefore comes as no surprise that Ghost’s music fits so seamlessly on the silver screen. Attributable to a chance encounter between Tobias Forge and Ryan Turek of Blumhouse Productions (Get Out, Us, Whiplash) at a 2018 Ghost concert in Los Angeles, fans will now be treated to hearing Hunter’s Moon during the closing credits of Halloween Kills, when it is released in cinemas this October.
In the meantime, fans will be able to check out the harrowing new music video directed by Amanda Demme to accompany the release of the single (the 7-inch vinyl, available for retail purchase, will include the Halloween Kills main theme as a B side). This artistic triumph of cinematography and musical composition is equally likely to send chills up your spine, as it is to fill you with an overbearing compulsion to throw your body head-first into a mosh pit.
Thankfully, it won’t be too long before the Ghost loyal will have this opportunity, with the band announcing a 26-city arena show through the United States (accompanied by fellow rockers Volbeat). All this should be enough to tie restless fans over before the band decides to share news regarding their highly anticipated 5th full length album.
