The art comes courtesy of Paul Gerrard, who worked as a conceptual designer on next year’s Hellboy reboot. A new Masters Of The Universe film has been in production hell since plans were first announced in 2007 with John Woo (Face/Off) originally directing. A long list of directors have since been attached, including Joe Cornish (Attack The Block), Rian Johnson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), and Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street).
It’s currently rumoured David S Goyer (Blade: Trinity) is in line to direct, taking over from McG (Charlie’s Angels). The role of He-man is rumoured to be filled by Kellan Lutz (The Twilight Saga), and a release date set for 18 December, 2019.
