Dani Filth dishes on how he got into horror and how he actually made Tony …
At this point, we might as well just go ahead and admit that Paramore are the absolute champions of top-notch music videos. Following the delightfully disorganised Hard Times and simple, yet quirky Fake Happy videos, the punk-turned-pop trio have today swung us a sepia-toned gem with the clip for Rose Colored Boy.
MORE: DZ Deathrays – Pig City’s Big Time Party People
Directed by industry mainstay Warren Fu (The Killers, The Strokes, Daft Punk, some other up-and-comers you’ve probably never heard of), the video takes Paramore off the stage and throws them on your telly screens as jaded, crises-ridden ‘80s news anchors. Frontwoman Hayley Williams goes a little crazy, there’s some choreography, a space pupper cameo… The usual stuff, obviously.
Rose Colored Boy was initially released as the second single from Paramore’s fifth album, After Laughter. The album was surprisingly great, given its enormous leap in style from the band’s roots – check out our 9/10 review for proof.
Paramore are set to kick off a massive arena tour of Australia this week, with the first show hitting Melbourne on Friday.
